Dear Friends in St. Louis,
It has been a great joy and privilege to serve and share our charism with all of you here in the Archdiocese of St. Louis over these last 16 years. We are grateful for Cardinal Rigali’s initial invitation to come to this wonderful Archdiocese and for Cardinal Burke’s continued support in the years that followed.
In particular, we would like to thank Archbishop Carlson, Bishop Rivituso, Bishop Hermann, and Bishop Rice for their kindness and support over these last few years of our ministry here in St. Louis. It has been a blessing.
Please know that each of you will be carried in our hearts and prayers as we begin our new assignments. As Sisters Devoted to the Heart of Our Lord, it is always a joy for us to pray for you and we will always welcome prayer intentions.
We were invited to the St. Louis Archdiocese by then Archbishop Justin Rigali in 2002; we are blessed to serve in Paul VI Catechetical Institute.
We share our charism as Sacred Heart Sisters in the apostolate teaching our Five Step Illustrated Method to catechists across the archdiocese as well as to Kenrick-Glennon college and theologate seminarians; offering an online prayer course based on Part IV of the Catechism of the Catholic Church; parish family catechesis. Working out of the Cardinal Rigali Center we offer retreats to various groups on site and in other locations. We live at All Souls Parish in Overland.
Children and Youth are welcome to spend a joyful time in God’s company. Many retreats are available:
