Ten of our Sisters participate in the Camino de California Eucharistic Pilgrimage!

During this Jubilee Year of Hope declared by Pope Francis, and integrated this year as a part of the National Eucharistic Revival, this historic, first-ever Eucharistic Pilgrimage in California includes:
- A 17 day driving pilgrimage from Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 22nd
- Bringing Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament to the people of California in a special Eucharistic van, shepherded by CFR (Franciscan Friars of Renewal) priests, brothers and seminarians
- Over 150 Eucharistic Pilgrims joining for the entire pilgrimage
- Over two dozen clergy, seminarians and religious also traveling with us
- Visits to all 21 California Missions starting in Sonoma and finishing at the Cathedral in Los Angeles
- Visits to 15 designated Jubilee sites for special indulgence opportunities during this Jubilee Year of Hope
- Daily Mass, Adoration, Benediction and Eucharistic Processions led by Bishops and/or religious
- 8 mile walking pilgrimage from San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey to Carmel Mission Basilica
- Participation in Masses, Eucharistic Processions and other events by Archbishops and Bishops of the dioceses along our pilgrimage route
- Daily Work of Mercy opportunities including visits and programs for the incarcerated, the homeless, women’s shelters, food banks, workers in the fields and more
- A Weekend Eucharistic Congress at Thomas Aquinas College
- Noted Eucharistic speakers, including Tim Staples, Stephen Binz, Lila Rose, Jason Shanks and more
- Dedication of a Cruz de Ferro at Mission San Miguel (exact replica of the same “Iron Cross” on the Camino de Santiago in Spain)
- A special Eucharistic Healing Service led by our CFR priests at Mission San Luis Obispo
- An outreach “Concert in the Park” event at Bonita Cove in San Diego with live music, food & more
- Participating in a Christ Cathedral evening event, hosted by Diocese of Orange
- Special Eucharistic procession and Benediction for L.A. fire victims, including the Halpin family in Altadena and an encore performance of their Regina Caeli
- Attending the National Eucharistic Congress (NEC) Corpus Christi closing Mass at the Los Angeles Cathedral
- Over 100 Religious Orders are praying for our pilgrimage

A prayer service at the grave of Servant of God Sister Ida Peterfy, SDSH in San Fernando Mission Cemetery on Monday June 16th at 10 am.
YES, you read that right! This is a planned part of the pilgrimage. There will be a Eucharistic Procession from Mission San Fernando and through the San Fernando Mission Cemetery to pray for the dead and we will conclude at Sister Ida’s grave! Almost all of our Sisters will be present for the prayer service. Please join us! Click for more info.
