Our very own Sister Grace Yip, SDSH was chosen to be spotlighted on the SOAR (Support our Aging Religious) website and mailing this month. This is an absolutely fantastic article about Sister Grace, vocation, and the joy of serving Our Lord as a Consecrated Religious. Thank you Sister Grace for such a vibrant witness of your life completely dedicated to God.
The following is from the mailing introducing the article
When you first learned about our faith or important season like Lent, you were probably taught by someone like Sister Grace Yip.
As a missionary and a member of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart in Northridge, California, Sister Grace trained and formed catechists, prepared people to be received into the Catholic faith, and developed and supervised the pastoral care department of Cardinal Tien Hospital in Taiwan.
Today, Sister Grace is still teaching the faith. She even is teaching Bible classes over Zoom. Sister Grace lives each day as a reflection of God’s love and finds joy in sharing it with others.
You can read more about her story here.
“The most important part of our faith is love,” she says. “The Son of God came to us to tell of His Father’s love for us. Jesus knows what we’re made of and what we need.”
