Mary became one with
Him, so that there will be
only one future, one worry,

Dear Friends,
In this Easter season, may our Risen Lord embrace you with His redemptive love and refresh your heart with His presence, peace and joyful union. This year is a very blessed year for us, as we are approaching our General Chapter this summer. Chapter is a gift from Holy Mother Church, who in her love for us, asks Religious Communities to come together to recognize and to embrace more fully the blessings of God and our Community charism in our consecrated religious life. As a Community we gather for a General Chapter every six years. We invite you, our dear friends, to journey with us in our preparation for this holy event.
We anticipate our Chapter as a time of renewal and as an opportunity to be more attentive to the will of God and His plans for our community life and our service to Holy Mother Church. With deep love and gratitude we thank God for the gift of Sister Ida, our foundress, and for the charism God entrusted to her, a gift we safeguard, protect, respect and embrace.
We invite you, dear friends, to pray for us and with us, in the months of May and June, for God’s guidance and for the gift of humble reliance on Him, for docility of heart and poverty of spirit that we might truly listen in response to God’s will, desires, and plans for our Community in the service of His Church.
We are most grateful to our Holy Father, Pope Benedict, for his invitation to participate and embrace God more deeply in this Year of Faith, beginning in October. What a perfect companion for us, as we approach God and present ourselves to His Heart, His Word, His Will.
Our Sisters send our love and grateful prayers to you, thanking you for your love, support and presence in our religious life.
In the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Sister Jane Stafford, SDSH
Superior General
